I am currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Ottawa and a Research Assistant in the Healthy Aging Research Program (HARP) Lab under the direction of Dr. Arne Stinchcombe.I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Guelph and a diploma in Recreation and Leisure Services from Fleming College. My research examines aging, mental health, and cognition, with a particular focus on the experiences of lesbian, gay, and bisexual older adults. My clinical training is ongoing and has included supervised practica in neuropsychological assessment and psychotherapy across hospital, community, and private practice settings. As a practicum student, all clinical work is completed under the supervision of licensed clinicians.

Research

My research focuses on how aging, sexuality, mental health, and cognitive functioning intersect across the adult lifespan. I primarily work with large population-based datasets, including the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging (CLSA), to examine social determinants of health, cognitive risk, and well-being.Current areas of focus include:
Cognitive risk and objective cognitive performance in LGB adults
• Longitudinal health disparities among LGBTQ+ older adults
Social networking site use and mental health
• Bidirectional associations between depression and memory
Sexual health and intimacy in older adulthood
